Girl Scouts Win Outstanding Leader Award April 19, 2010

On Saturday, March 28 the six girls in Girl Scout Troop 30743 received the Outstanding Young Leader Award from the Gaylord Area Chamber of Commerce.  The six girls (pictured above) are Megan, Chelsea, Hannah, Sonja, Alyssa, and Abby. They are all in the 10th grade at Sibley East High School.

The award states: “You have been recognized as a leader who demonstrates outstanding leadership that benefits the community and its citizens, outstanding service that includes working with youth, adults, and families to improve the quality of life.  You also possess leadership qualities including creativity, responsibility, dependability, problem solving, respectfulness, and organizational skills.”

 

Girl Scouts Earn Car Sense Patch March 11, 2009

Mapleton, MN Ambassador, Senior, and Cadette Girl Scouts took a trip up to the local Mid-Town Auto Center, where Randy Mosloski, helped the girls learn about the importance of auto maintenance. Randy helped the girls complete the requirements for the interest patch “Car Sense.”

Worthington Service Unit Cookie Rally February 2, 2009

Worthington Girl Scout Daisies, Brownies, Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors hold cookie boxes and order forms at their “Imagine If We Could Change The World” cookie kickoff event Saturday, January 17 at Max 493 in Worthington, Minn. Cookie sales are now under way and will continue through February 4.
